About The Position

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, supporting Blue National Security and the development of Blue Ring satellite systems. Blue Ring is a spacecraft designed to support missions from medium Earth orbit to the cislunar region, with high delta-V capabilities and services such as hosting, transportation, refueling, data relay, logistics, and in-space edge computing. As a Harness Fabrication Manufacturing Engineer, you will translate engineering intent, drawings, and configurations into operational processes that produce functional cable harness hardware at scale. You will support harness fabrication and integration, develop manufacturing instructions and processes, and qualify new fabrication technologies. The role leads design-for-manufacturability efforts and strengthens the feedback loop between design, build, and test to improve product development. This is a hands-on position on the manufacturing floor, working across design, test, manufacturing, and operations. The position is based in Huntsville, Alabama, on A-Shift, Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Relocation is available, and travel is expected up to 20% of the time. The position requires flexibility to adjust shifts and willingness to work extended hours if required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university; other relevant fields may apply.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering role; level mapping stated as 0–3 years for Level 1, 3+ years for Level 2, 5+ years for Level 3, and 8+ years for Senior Manufacturing Engineer.
  • At least 1 year of experience creating English-language work instructions.
  • Availability to work A-Shift, Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with flexibility to adjust shifts and willingness to work extended hours if required.
  • Must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements: U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted to the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Required Blue Origin Standard Background Check; a DBIDS background check applies if the role requires access to a military installation.
