About The Position

As a Harness Fabrication Manufacturing Engineer in Blue Origin Operations, you will support the Blue Ring Cable Harness Shop and translate engineering intent, drawings, and configurations into operational manufacturing processes for functional cable harness hardware. The role supports the design, manufacturing, and testing of Blue Ring, a spacecraft developed to support missions from medium Earth orbit to the cislunar region. Blue Ring provides delta-V capabilities for maneuvering payloads and offers services including hosting, transportation, refueling, data relay, logistics, and in-space edge computing. You will work hands-on with the manufacturing team, connecting design, test, manufacturing, and operations. The role includes supporting harness fabrication and integration, developing manufacturing work instructions and processes, guiding technicians, investigating discrepancies, and improving product design and producibility through DFMA and FMEA. Work must align with applicable quality and safety standards, including AS9100, ISO 9001, and IPC/WHMA-A-620. This is an A-Shift role, Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM, in Huntsville, Alabama. The position may require shift flexibility and extended hours. Travel is expected up to 20% of the time, and relocation is available.
