About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation, improving and developing processes, supporting production, planning layouts and equipment, leading lean manufacturing initiatives, training personnel, and supporting quality control. This role requires proficiency in process improvement, troubleshooting, and collaboration with various teams and vendors.

Requirements

  • Proficient with Autodesk Inventor and Microsoft Office software preferred.
  • Epicor Kinetic software knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), process flow charts, and processing engineering change orders.
  • Designing new production methods, optimizing existing workflows, and implementing technologies to increase efficiency and lower costs.
  • Collaborating with suppliers for test tooling.
  • ERP entry for ordering materials as needed.
  • Resolving daily operational, software, or hardware problems on the factory floor, including troubleshooting, repairing, or redesigning equipment.
  • Designing efficient plant layouts and evaluating/purchasing of new equipment.
  • Actively participating in or leading continuous improvement projects, such as 5S, Preventative Maintenance Scheduling, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Training production personnel on new processes, and working with design engineers, technicians, and vendors to resolve issues.
  • Assisting Quality Manager with troubleshooting production issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing quality standards to minimize defects.
