About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer's primary responsibility is to plan, design, arrange, change, and optimize manufacturing processes with a heavy focus on HSE and RCI. This position will create, develop, document, and implement procedures required to assemble, test, process, and manufacture the products of A&B Process Systems. With the use of ERP (enterprise resource planning) software JDE analyze material and labor burden costs, perform make vs buy exercise, recommend new equipment. Lead capitol expenditure projects from inception to implementation through: ROI cost analysis, presentation to management team, vendor collaboration, equipment and operator selection and introduction, and successful fabrication and testing. This position is also responsible for providing leadership through RCI (Relentless Continuous Improvement) and safety and vision of the Manufacturing Engineering department. The successful candidate must enjoy working with people, be creative, analytical, a strong communicator, grasp modern technology quickly, prioritize multiple projects, and be willing to advance the goals of the organization by demonstrating competence in relevant subject areas and a willingness to be helpful. Candidate must embrace and embody a culture of relentless continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
  • 5 – 10 years of manufacturing engineering experience required.
  • Principles of fabrication and process integration required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience preferably in an engineer to order environment.
  • 2+ years of experience creating fixtures and tooling for welded products.
  • Proficiency in creating standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints continuous improvement practices.
  • Background in a stainless steel fabrication industry.
  • AutoCAD.
  • Excellent facilitation/project management skills.
