We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement and maintain production processes to drive quality and efficiency and to develop manufacturing plans which improve operations competitiveness.

Requirements

Bachelor's Engineering Degree required
3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Qualified candidate must possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience with lean principles and techniques to include Visual Management, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Cycle Time Reduction and Process Balancing, Yokoten, 5S, Set Up Reduction (SMED), and Kanban.
Strong analytic skills, with ability to clearly link operational performance drivers to financial results.
Fluent knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, assembly and quality control processes.
Strong leadership skills to drive engineering principles and processes.
Understanding of Lean, 3P, Kaizen and Six Sigma programs.
Knowledge of new model launch requirements and processes to ensure flawless launch goals.
PC Skills: Excel, Word, Access, Powerpoint and MS Project.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Requires cross functional communication, simultaneous engineering and reporting.
Ability to resolve multiple conflicts between widely varying personalities.
Ability to guide and lead non-technical & technical personnel to technical solutions.
Demonstrated implementation of root cause analysis and solutions.

Nice To Haves

PLC Programming and Automation knowledge is a plus.
Experience in 2D/3D Modeling software (AutoCAD, Pro-E) is desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop and define concepts and manufacturing processes for, and as an integral part of, all new product introductions and product enhancement programs, using advanced engineering techniques such as DFM / DFA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly), FMEA, 3P (Production, Preparation Process), 7-Ways, and Lean Six Sigma Methodology
Assume responsibility for Capital planning, CER creations and Approvals, Capital Project Timing and Implementation, Capital Spending and Budgeting
Assume responsibility for Plant VA/VE Savings
Ensure all equipment meets OSHA compliant safety regulations
Drive engineering principles and discipline through mentoring, training and project reviews including: PFMEA, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Dynamic Control Plans (DCP), Lean Tools, Project Management and Simultaneous Engineering
Manage, develop and improve manufacturing standards including machine capability and capacity, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings and cycle times.
