About The Position

Develops, evaluates, and improves industrial manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Communicates manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes. Confers with vendors to determine specifications of products and arrange equipment, material purchase, and parts. Project manages all technical upgrades, equipment installation, tooling design and implementation. Aligns with the appropriate personnel in contract reviews for significant projects. Evaluates products based on specifications and quality standards. Gathers data to assess the effectiveness of manufacturing procedures. Ensures successful completion of health and safety reviews for new and altered equipment. Participates in travel as appropriate for business needs. Meets TKMNA Employee Attributes / Competencies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in Lean Manufacturing environment
  • Proficient levels of technical expertise in the areas of sheet metal fabrication
  • Experience with repetitive and build-to-suit manufacturing methodologies
  • Experience managing large and complex projects using industry tools
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational, management, and leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a high competency in Excel
  • Strong analytical thinker
