Manufacturing Engineer
About The Position
Royal Switchgear is growing fast and is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on continuous improvement for manufacturing operations by analyzing, developing, and implementing cost-effective manufacturing solutions to support Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The position involves leading the implementation of 5S, conducting kaizen events, improving product quality, performing root cause analysis, and driving cost reduction initiatives. While direct supervision is not required, the role does involve leading kaizen events. The company emphasizes a supportive culture, growth opportunities, and a focus on clean and renewable energy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
- Equivalent experience may be considered
- 1-3 Years Manufacturing Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or Quality Engineering
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Experience in 5S implementation
- Kaizen leadership experience
- Fabrication and Assembly experience
- Value stream mapping experience
- Mechanical Assembly experience
Responsibilities
- Development and implementation of 5S program
- Continuous improvement through planning and leading kaizen events
- Support plant operations as necessary to ensure KPIs are met
- Capital expenditure project development and implementation
- Determining manufacturing equipment needs
- Conducting root cause and corrective action for manufacturing non-conformances
- Work instructions, standard work, and process flows
