About The Position

Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance. This job posting is for a Manufacturing Engineer role, which is a technical lead position. A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor looking to grow their leadership skills and provide a pathway for a technical management career progression. Provide mentorship and daily direction to the individual contributors on the team.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited university or college with at least 2 additional years of experience in manufacturing or operations OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with At least 4 additional years of experience in manufacturing or operations OR 2 year technical degree with at least 8 years of experience in manufacturing or operations OR High school diploma / GED with at least 8 years of experience in manufacturing or operations.

Responsibilities

  • Define and control production process including tooling and equipment.
  • Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment.
  • Provide quote packages for new products or process changes.
  • Subject matter expert in their respective product line. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
  • Manage project timelines and drive on-time completion.
  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Uses judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
  • Review non-conformance trends and drive initiatives for quality improvements.
