Your Role on Our Team: The Manufacturing Engineer I is responsible for developing, improving, and supporting manufacturing processes that ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met. This role works cross‑functionally with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and NPD Engineering to optimize operations, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement across assigned areas. You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
Minimum 5 years Manufacturing Engineering, Project Management, or related experience required
Experience supporting manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, stamping, assembly, coating, automation)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with CAD and data analysis tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Excel)
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and structured problem solving
Advanced computer knowledge and skills in MS Office/Project and Solidworks/AutoCAD/NX

Nice To Haves

Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of PLCs, robotics, or automated systems.
Hands-on experience with tooling design or process validation

Responsibilities

Develop and update manufacturing work instructions and related process documentation.
Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes to increase throughput, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
Conduct time studies, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve cycle time, labor efficiency, and overall process flow.
Support the installation, startup, and validation of new equipment and technology.
Collaborate with Maintenance to improve PM schedules and reduce unplanned downtime.
Lead or support root-cause analysis on machine, tooling, or process issues.
Provide daily floor support to troubleshoot process, tooling, and equipment issues.
Utilize key process indicators to improve safety, efficiency, quality, and uptime of production equipment.
Ensure communication of process changes and updates across shifts and plant personnel.
Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement projects as necessary.
Support build readiness for engineering changes, new product launches, or product transfers.
Act as technical resource for manufacturing and maintenance and as a backup for other engineers.
Contribute to team effort by performing related tasks as needed to assist in overall business goals.
Responsible for the completion of assigned manufacturing projects; identify potential project risks and issues and implement proactive measures to ensure project milestones and objectives are met.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, actively challenging the status quo to deliver optimal solutions for the business.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and corporate standards.
