About The Position

The Ideal Tridon Group is a global leader in clamps, strut, hose supports, conduit, fittings, and coupling solutions, with over 100 years of experience. The Campbell Fittings plant in Boyertown, PA, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. Campbell Fittings specializes in engineering and manufacturing hose fittings, couplings, ferrules, and sleeves, known for their quality and innovation in various applications from air to petro-chemical.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks to create parts, assemblies, and drawings
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • 1+ year of experience using a PDM software, e.g., Teamcenter, SolidWorks PDM
  • 5+ years of experience working as an engineer in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of experience with flow control products
  • 2+ years specifying common metals for commercial and industrial products, e.g., carbon steels, low-alloy steels, stainless steels
  • 1+ year of experience using ERP software, e.g., JDE, SAP
  • Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems
  • Basic knowledge of common metal manufacturing equipment and processes, e.g., lathe, mill, welding, press brake
  • Basic knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing per ASME Y14.5M
  • Basic facility with common measuring instruments, e.g., calipers, micrometers, depth gauges

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a broad range of coworkers in engineering, tooling, manufacturing, quality control, HSE, maintenance, and other departments
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, reliability, and product quality
  • Provide technical support to coworkers, customers, suppliers, and industry auditors
  • Sustain existing products
  • Develop new products
  • Revise product models and drawings according to a company-defined engineering change process
  • Improve and create new manufacturing, inspection, and test equipment
  • Revise and create company design standards, work instructions, specifications, data sheets, catalogs, QMS documents, standard operating procedures, process flowcharts, inspection procedures, and other technical literature
  • Read, interpret, and follow the requirements of common industry standards and specifications
  • Perform failure analyses and write reports
  • Write corrective actions and assess returned material
  • Present technical information via Teams and in person to individuals and groups
  • Provide dispositions to deviation requests from internal and outside suppliers
  • Follow and, when needed, improve the company’s ISO 9001 documents
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Flow Connections engineering manager.
