About The Position

At Wisk, we're transforming the future of urban mobility through safe, all-electric, autonomous flight. We are a passionate team working together toward a sustainable future, solving high-impact problems that have never been solved before. By delivering everyday flight for everyone, we're making it possible to spend less time getting there and more time being there. We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The goal of a Manufacturing Engineer at Wisk is to ensure that aircraft components are designed and are manufacturable, this includes batteries, composites, motors, wire harnessing and aircraft assembly. You will be part of the Production Engineering team that supports the build for our Generation 6 aircraft. Achieving our vision requires manufacturing solutions that support the efficient and precise low-rate production of our fully autonomous, all-electric aircraft. We are looking for a Laminate Designer to join our Production Engineering team, with the goal of building the first fully autonomous all-electric aircraft that performs and operates safely in an urban air-mobility environment. In support of this goal, you will be part of the team that takes composite part engineering and delivers laminate designs to the manufacturing floor so that these parts can be fabricated. Your goal is to make sure that designs are manufacturable and build the aircraft of the future. The successful candidate is knowledgeable and experienced with advanced industrial manufacturing and has direct hands-on experience developing and building type certified aircraft or working in regulated environments. This person also has experience in the fabrication and optimization of manufactured components. In this role, the candidate must be proactive, forward thinking, and self-motivated with the ability to effectively communicate information and ideas with a cross functional and diverse team. Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Mountain View office.
