Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech Provides support to the Manufacturing organization to facilitate efficient operations within the production area, to optimize existing processes and to ensure that production goals are met. Responsible for all process/equipment validations and support product transfers. Adheres to environmental policy, procedures, and supports department environmental objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in Engineering is required
  • Strong knowledge on Statistics.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong skills on problem solving/root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance with all local and federal agencies i.e., FDA, ISO, OSHA, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry is preferred
  • Certification in CQE or Six Sigma Black Belt Project Management is desired

Responsibilities

  • Initiates and completes technical activities to new or improved products or processes, for current programs, next generation programs and to meet strategic goals and objectives of the company.
  • Analyzes and solves problems from basic engineering principles, theories and concepts through to a wide range of complex and advanced problems which require novel and new innovative approaches or a major breakthrough in technology.
  • Incorporates business policies and procedures into task completion.
  • Understands the business needs of the company and has knowledge of the customer needs of our business.
  • Understands the business cycle and foresight of emerging technologies trends.
  • Cultivates internal and external network of resources to complete tasks.
  • Serves as a resource in the training of new engineers and employees.
  • Interacts cross functionally and with internal and external customers.
  • Serves as a consultant for engineering or scientific interpretations and advice on significant matters.
  • Acts as spokesperson to customers on business unit current and future capabilities.
  • Interfaces with Quality and Research and Development organizations to integrate new products or processes into the existing manufacturing area.
  • Monitors performance of equipment, machines, and tools and corrects equipment problems or process parameters that produce nonconforming products, low yields or product quality issues.
  • Drives the optimization of process output and throughput, equipment utilization, equipment downtime, waste reduction/yield improvements, budget management, standard cost, and capital investment management in a creative manner.
  • Provides technical support to peers and production areas in evaluating process deficiencies, process changes, modifications, and equipment failure.
  • Defines, analyzes, reviews, and evaluates problems for prompt solutions.
  • Supports manufacturing in the day-to-day troubleshooting of equipment’s to ensure increase production outputs and increase operation team capabilities.
