The Manufacturing Engineer designs, builds and maintains machines and tools within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive operation for manufacturing processes. This role involves evaluating manufacturing processes, designing new systems and processes for new product introductions or improvements to existing ones. The engineer will develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing methods and equipment, and conferring with vendors. Responsibilities include preparing manufacturing proposals and estimates, participating in continuous improvement plans, improving manufacturing efficiency through workflow and layout analysis, and providing decision-making information by calculating costs and estimating future requirements. The role also involves preparing product and process reports, devising new approaches to complex problems, and ensuring compliance with facility standards (ISO, TS, etc.). The incumbent is responsible for understanding and managing the Environmental Management System (EMS) and the Quality Management System (QMS).
