About The Position

Responsible for improving pretreatment product quality, reducing the scrap rate in the pretreatment production process, and enhancing output. This role involves analyzing and improving manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste, developing and implementing production workflows, and supporting new equipment installation and process validation. The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve issues, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and support the launch of new automotive glass products. The position also requires implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership, and customers.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Regularly required to stand for long periods.
• Duties include turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip).
• Visual acuity including: NEAR ACUITY, FAR ACUITY, DEPTH PERCEPTION, COLOR VISION, FIELD OF VISION.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
• Knowledge of and familiarity manufacturing software.
• Competent in solving difficult problems in production.
• Familiar with production management knowledge and ability.
• Competent in leading, communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Skilled in coating technology, enhancing, and training subordinates.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Support new equipment installation and lead process validation.
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve issues.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, yield, and downtime.
• Support the launch of new automotive glass products and ensure smooth transition into mass production.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma).
• Other duties as assigned.
