About The Position

Array Marketing is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team due to significant growth. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Transformation and requires expertise in ERP systems, process improvement, and bill of materials (BoM) management to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams in production, procurement, quality, and project management to develop solutions that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maintain quality standards. This is an existing, full-time, on-site position at the Scarborough manufacturing facility, working 5 days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or a college diploma in a relevant technical discipline and related experience or training.
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering, production planning, or materials management.
  • Proficiency in using ERP tools to support master file maintenance, routing and BOM definitions, performance analysis, and plans.
  • Detailed understanding of the company's policies and procedures for operational transactions and reporting.
  • Proficiency with computer applications to support analysis and reporting requirements, including Microsoft Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and Macros.
  • Familiarity with the business processes and practices used by discrete manufacturers with a make-to-order production policy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work within project timelines with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues to complete assigned project activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable collaborating across departments.
  • Ability to present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Organizational and project management skills to manage multiple priorities effectively and drive initiatives to completion.

Nice To Haves

  • P.Eng is an asset.
  • Experience in Make-to-Order manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Certifications such as APICS CPIM or a Supply Chain Management Certification are considered an asset.
  • Experience interpreting CAD drawings.
  • Applying data analysis for process optimization is also beneficial.
  • Experience with Power Query and BI tools is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is also preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain essential production master files, including Item Masters, Phantoms, Process Plans, and Job Plans.
  • Ensure accurate BoM data is loaded into ERP systems and aligned with material allocations and production planning.
  • Collaborate with estimating and cost accounting to support cost analysis and reconciliation.
  • Develop and implement efficient material management and production scheduling workflows.
  • Optimize routing processes for raw materials, subassemblies, and components.
  • Apply strategies such as Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI), Kanban, and Point-of-Use Material processes.
  • Assess the impact of engineering BoM changes on ongoing production, inventory, and procurement.
  • Ensure all changes are accurately reflected in BoMs, process plans, and master files.
  • Proactively manage material conflicts, delays, and change impacts by collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyze production data, including direct and indirect hours, rework rates, and job exceptions.
  • Conduct time studies to ensure routing accuracy.
  • Generate detailed reports using Summary Sheets and KPIs.
  • Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for continuous improvement through data-driven insights.
  • Uphold all company safety, quality, and environmental policies.
  • Report any health and safety concerns to management.
  • Help maintain a safe, organized work environment.
