The successful Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and standards. Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls. Coordinates manufacturing launch for new or existing products. This position will coordinate between research and development, management, production, technical sales, and quality to meet customer requirements. Utilizes CAD system to develop tooling and fixture designs as needed to support production. Design and implementation of part holding fixtures and production machine improvements Assist operations in conducting testing, preparing analyses, and identifying key measures and process improvements using plant performance data analysis Partner with plant operations personnel to secure process data for identification of technology gaps, improvement opportunities, and project definitions Coach plant personnel on measurements and daily updates of technology performance/asset utilization data Pinpoint efficiencies, create process projects, and execute initiatives to drive efficiencies and repeatable processes in production that are aligned to the business strategies and objectives Provide technical plant support in specialized areas including process simulation, modeling, risk analysis, and process optimization Assist in managing asset utilization and project budgets Provide data to validate that projects deliver performance objectives after implementation Accepts and supports the Thermal Spray Technologies Quality System and Safety protocols.
