About The Position

Eaton’s Power Reliability Division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our South Milwaukee, WI facility. The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Relevant Engineering experience
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience creating PFMEA and control plans
  • 1+ years of experience with lean/six sigma projects/improvements
  • Proven experience in Electronic / Electrical product manufacture
  • Use of solidworks in designing/developing tooling
  • Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings, Schematics, and Bills of Materials
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS)
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing and Visual Control implementations
  • Demonstrated experience in developing tooling used in the support of Assembly and Test of products

Responsibilities

  • Design processes that ensure compliance with MESH (Eaton’s Environmental, Health, Safety process) and other Eaton and industry standard practices
  • Drive facility capability and capacity improvement through Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and other processes to support efficiency improvement and sales growth.
  • Support and execute capital plan to support capability, capacity, and efficiency to develop new key plant processes in support of sales growth and product line expansion
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs, reviewing production schedules and requirements, estimating future requirements
  • Work directly with direct manufacturing labor to troubleshoot and improve processes, including fabrication, assembly, measuring, and testing of products produced.
  • Manage activities and budgets for manufacturing and process improvement projects, including the development of the project management requirements and all implementation documentation.
  • Develop and implementing cost reduction initiatives utilizing continuous improvement framework
  • Collect and analyze manufacturing data and metrics to aid in design and improvement of processes.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety responsibilities by following established MESH policies, procedures, trainings, and team member involvement activities
  • Proactively implement, promote, and maintain a safe working environment, through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance, corrective action implementation and Zero Incident culture enforcement.
  • Manage the creation of standard work and standard cycle times
