About The Position

Eaton’s Power Reliability Division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our South Milwaukee, WI facility. The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of one (1) year of Relevant Engineering experience
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Nice To Haves

1+ years of experience creating PFMEA and control plans
1+ years of experience with lean/six sigma projects/improvements
Proven experience in Electronic / Electrical product manufacture
Use of solidworks in designing/developing tooling
Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings, Schematics, and Bills of Materials
Demonstrated knowledge of Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS)
Experience in Lean manufacturing and Visual Control implementations
Demonstrated experience in developing tooling used in the support of Assembly and Test of products

Responsibilities

Design processes that ensure compliance with MESH (Eaton’s Environmental, Health, Safety process) and other Eaton and industry standard practices
Drive facility capability and capacity improvement through Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and other processes to support efficiency improvement and sales growth.
Support and execute capital plan to support capability, capacity, and efficiency to develop new key plant processes in support of sales growth and product line expansion
Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs, reviewing production schedules and requirements, estimating future requirements
Work directly with direct manufacturing labor to troubleshoot and improve processes, including fabrication, assembly, measuring, and testing of products produced.
Manage activities and budgets for manufacturing and process improvement projects, including the development of the project management requirements and all implementation documentation.
Develop and implementing cost reduction initiatives utilizing continuous improvement framework
Collect and analyze manufacturing data and metrics to aid in design and improvement of processes.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety responsibilities by following established MESH policies, procedures, trainings, and team member involvement activities
Proactively implement, promote, and maintain a safe working environment, through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance, corrective action implementation and Zero Incident culture enforcement.
