About The Position

Ideal Industries is an innovative fabrication company aligned with a leading manufacturer of commercial Sewer and Excavation Equipment. We are looking for a proactive Manufacturing Engineer to support our production team. In this role, you will design and refine manufacturing processes to ensure maximum efficiency, safety, and product quality on the shop floor.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or a related technical field.
• 1–3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software; Autodesk Inventor is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with Made2Manage is a significant advantage.
• Strong background in welding and fabrication processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both shop floor personnel and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods by applying knowledge of product design, materials, and fabrication.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering to integrate Design for Manufacturability (DFM) into all components routed to Vinton production.
• Enhance worker safety and production accuracy by designing specialized jigs, fixtures, and tooling.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles to analyze floor layouts, eliminate bottlenecks, and reduce waste.
• Act as the primary technical contact for the production team to resolve challenges and deviations.
• Maintain manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOMs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and detailed work instructions within our ERP system.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for any process failures or defects.
