The position of Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the evaluation of the manufacturing processes and equipment. This position will focus on Safety, Quality, Yield, Productivity Improvement, OEE, and operator training. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the processes within product line processing, cost estimating, layouts, planning, standards, etc., and requires the coordination of all disciplines. They will identify delays in production and sources of waste, utilizing engineering principles to refine processes. This role will assist with equipment maintenance and repair services, ensuring manufacturer’s procedures and instructions are followed to keep production equipment operational. The engineer will analyze production processes, schedules, methods, and other data to meet Safety, Quality, Productivity/Throughput, and Cost objectives, providing management with reports containing data and statistics to enable better understanding of future requirements. They will identify technology solutions to eliminate unnecessary steps and improve manufacturing Safety, Quality, Productivity/Throughput, and Cost Reduction. The role involves performing root-cause failure analysis, supporting 8D investigations, and developing PFMEAs. Additionally, the Manufacturing Engineer will provide engineering direction to optimize yield improvement, train staff on incorporating new technology and methods into current production standards, and be responsible for writing, maintaining, and ensuring SWI's are in place, followed, and enforced. They will construct the best measurements to gauge process performance, with daily measures and trend charting of key pacer equipment, and work with department management to ensure planned changes are enforced.
