About The Position

The Leonardo DRS Naval Power Systems business is a trusted provider of innovative naval gas and hybrid power systems, control technology and support solutions for the U.S. Navy and navies around the world. This role is for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Menomonee Falls, WI team, supporting production of power control and power conversion systems and subsystems for the US Navy and our allies.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in an applicable engineering field + internship or entry level experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: manufacturing, production, industrial, welding, tooling, testing, processing, software, and robotics
  • An energetic, self-starter willing to take on various projects and bring them to completion
  • Comfortable working alone and with a team
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Apply basic engineering principles to perform routine design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation in support of manufacturing operations
  • May prepare plans, conduct support studies, provide analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operations with the guidance of a senior-level Engineer
  • Work cross-funtionally to ensure quality design and manufacturing processes
  • Follow standard practices/procedures in analyzing situations or data
  • Involved in the development of manufacturing process plans, test requirements, and manufacturing flow, and capacity plans
  • Review detail designs for manufacturability and producibility
