As our Manufacturing Engineer, you will be a part of a knowledgeable and well-diverse engineering team who loves to have fun and get stuff done! You will be key in process development, process improvements, and tooling/fixture designs. You will support our manufacturing capabilities and collaborate across Winchester in a way that leads by example, exhibits empathy, ensures task ownership, uses data to make decisions, and puts the customer first.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or minimum 3 years directly related RF coax connector and cable assembly and manufacturing experience
  • DFM (Design for Manufacture) & DFA (Design for Assembly) - Proven ability to follow designs from release through manufacture
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks CAD platform
  • Excellent electrical mechanical assembly skills
  • Experience operating RF/Microwave test equipment such as Network Analyzers, HiPot Testers, etc. a plus
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks CAD platform
  • Working knowledge of specifications, regulations, and compliance requirements as they pertain to RF/Microwave connector and cable industry (i.e. military specifications, RoHS, UL, Plenum, etc.) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide tooling/fixture and process designs to ensure manufacturability, performance, quality, and cost expectations of cable, cable assembly, and connector product lines
  • Develop and document manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Provide manufacturability input (DFA, DFM) on new product designs and NBOs for on-time execution of NPI projects to performance, cost, and quality expectations
  • In conjunction with the Ops team, assess and plan for manufacturing capabilities to support on-time execution of NPI projects to performance, quality, and cost expectations
  • Support QA, operations, and production to resolve issues in a timely manner for existing and new products and processes
  • Utilization of ERP, Salesforce, KissFlow, QT9, and other system tools
  • Team Culture and Talent Development - Champion the Winchester culture and set clear goals
  • You will work closely with operations, quality, and materials to positively impact the business by helping to resolve manufacturability issues to support accurate, on-time execution of new and existing products to our customers.

  • Design new processes and manufacturing techniques to solve customer problems and win new business
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement and customer-centricity
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement product/process DFA/M changes for continuous improvement of existing products
