Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability and willingness to work hands-on on the manufacturing floor, supporting operations, troubleshooting issues, and driving process improvements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SolidWorks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a medium-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience designing machines, tooling, jigs, and fixtures to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
  • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting, including GE Proficy Machine Edition software.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to manufacturing teams to help achieve quality, productivity, and operational goals.
  • Review and implement engineering change orders (ECOs), including new work instructions, tooling, and training requirements.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions for new and existing manufacturing processes.
  • Train supervisors and production employees on processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Provide technical support to maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, R&D, and Purchasing teams to support production objectives.
  • Design and develop jigs, fixtures, and other tools to improve assembly processes and productivity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
