Requirements

  • Familiarity with CAD.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM circuit design.

  • Background in engineering within the manufacturing sector.
  • A Master’s degree in a manufacturing-related engineering field.

Responsibilities

  • Design manufacturing processes that prioritize operator safety, collaborating with equipment vendors.
  • Establish robust manufacturing processes with poka-yoke solutions to prevent quality issues, design testing methods, and evaluate finished products.
  • Analyze workflows, space requirements, and equipment layouts using Kubota’s 5-Gen and KPS Principles to drive efficiency and enhance productivity.
  • Provide critical insights for manufacturing decisions by calculating production costs, reviewing schedules, and estimating future needs.
  • Lead project-related activities, overseeing timelines, budgets, team coordination, and vendor procurement.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize trends to prepare product and process reports, and create/maintain process documentation (SOPs, technical specifications).
  • Spearhead process design, optimization projects, and Kaizen initiatives to achieve safety, productivity, and quality targets.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to establish preventative maintenance initiatives for new equipment.
  • Follow company policies and seek opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilize CAD applications to develop and maintain design records for tooling and fixtures.
  • Implement new or revised processes by training technicians.
  • Keep professional knowledge sharp by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and participating in professional societies.
  • Support teammates whenever capacity issues arise.
