About The Position

Plans, directs, and coordinates technical support for the manufacturing processes by performing the following duties: Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards. Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Confers with management, engineering, Koyo Seiko, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, new installation, and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential including machine capability studies, etc. Plans, implements and tracks Capital and Non-Capital cost reduction projects and reports to management on a regular basis. Support 5-S, Kaizen Team and Koyo Production System, TSI6949 and ISO14000 efforts throughout the Plant. Other duties as assigned. Assumes the leadership role in the absence of the Engineering Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in science or engineering from a four-year college or university; and three to five years related experience and/or training, or Associate’s degree in science or engineering from two/four year college or university; and five to seven years related experience and/or training; or High School Diploma or GED, and seven to ten years of related experience and/or training; or ten to twelve years of related experience and/or training.
