About The Position

Develops and improves manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods. This role involves quoting projects, products, and parts that vary in complexity and volume with tight deadlines. The engineer will evaluate manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, conferring with equipment vendors, and soliciting observations from operators. They will also develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, modifying and testing manufacturing methods and equipment, and improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Additionally, the role ensures product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished-product and process capabilities, establishing standards, and confirming manufacturing processes. The Manufacturing Engineer will provide manufacturing engineering information, maintain product and company reputation by complying with governmental regulations, maintain the product and process database, and develop, test, and refine CNC programs for machine centers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year College or university in Engineering and/ or 3-5 years in manufacturing or industrial role
  • Project management skills in a fast paced high-mix environment
  • Experience in furniture manufacturing
  • Experience in project quoting
  • Knowledge of Internet software; Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
