About The Position

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Triton Metal Products, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing systems, procedures, and equipment to meet production goals. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in engineering principles, problem-solving skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production equipment, and automation systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and experience with computer-controlled manufacturing equipment.
  • Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with various departments.
  • Experience with project management and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive and innovative mindset, continuously seeking opportunities for process optimization and improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions to increase productivity and reduce waste.
  • Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment to enhance production capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, and quality assurance to ensure seamless integration of new processes and products.
  • Conduct process validations, root cause analysis, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to identify and address issues proactively.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and equipment specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, employing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize workflows and enhance overall operational efficiency.
  • Train manufacturing personnel on new processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor and analyze production metrics, such as yield, cycle time, and scrap rates, and implement corrective actions to meet production targets.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in manufacturing technology and best practices and recommend innovative approaches to maintain a competitive edge.
