About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, improving, and optimizing manufacturing processes to support quality cabinetry production, efficiency, safety, and cost effectiveness. This role partners closely with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Leadership to drive continuous improvement, standardization, and scalable manufacturing solutions. Bell Cabinetry offers a collaborative, hands‑on manufacturing environment where engineering plays a critical role in operational excellence, innovation, and quality craftsmanship. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in cabinetry, woodworking, furniture, or related manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, tooling, and production systems.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, CAD tools, and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and throughput.
  • Analyze current workflows and layouts to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
  • Establish standard work, work instructions, and best practices across production lines.
  • Provide hands‑on engineering support to production teams, addressing process issues and production challenges.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance to support equipment troubleshooting, reliability, and preventative maintenance initiatives.
  • Support new product introductions and engineering changes from design through production ramp‑up.
  • Partner with Quality and Operations to drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes meet quality standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Support audits, inspections, and internal compliance initiatives.
  • Identify and implement cost‑reduction initiatives through process improvements, material utilization, and waste reduction.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to efficiency, scrap, rework, and cycle time.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Scheduling, and Quality to ensure seamless production flow.
  • Support tooling, fixture design, and equipment selection to meet production requirements.
  • Assist in training production teams on new processes, equipment, and standards.
