About The Position
The Manufacturing Engineer plans, directs, and coordinates the development and refinement of manufacturing processes. They develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of materials, parts, tooling, and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, engineering principles, and quality control standards. This role is responsible for all value-added processes related to the milling, turning, fixturing, tooling, programming, and processing of complex machined parts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or related field
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- Previous experience with CAM software, preferably Mastercam.
- Background in machining operations including lathes, mills, EDM, and inspection equipment.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and standards.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of manufacturing-related experience.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic and project management skills.
- Effective time management skills to achieve goals and objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Background in painting, coating, welding, assembly, and automation is a plus
Responsibilities
- Own and optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring innovation and efficiency.
- Act as the primary contact for manufacturing processes, collaborating closely with product engineering and program managers from design through to production launch.
- Design workflows and production cells to maximize quality and resource efficiency.
- Develop, construct, and validate tooling, fixturing, gaging, and manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards such as AS9100.
- Implement data-driven processes and equipment upgrades to improve production control, safety, and quality metrics.
- Utilize six sigma techniques to continuously improve capabilities, throughput, and product quality.
- Contribute to the development and execution of long-term technical strategic roadmaps.
- Uphold integrity in all work, deliver on commitments, and follow company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with customers and perform additional duties as assigned.
