About The Position

Responsible for improving pretreatment product quality, reducing the scrap rate in the production process, enhancing output. This role involves analyzing and improving manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste, developing and optimizing production workflows, layouts, and standard work. The Manufacturing Engineer will also support new equipment installation, lead process validation, and collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve issues. Key responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on KPIs, supporting new automotive glass product launches, and implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership, and customers.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods.
  • Duties include turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip).
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity manufacturing software.
  • Competent in solving difficult problems in production.
  • Familiar with production management knowledge and ability.
  • Competent in leading, communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Skilled in coating technology, enhancing, and training subordinates.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize production workflows, layouts, and standard work.
  • Support new equipment installation and lead process validation.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve issues.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, yield, and downtime.
  • Support the launch of new automotive glass products and ensure smooth transition into mass production.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma).
  • Other duties as assigned.
