About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer will work directly with other Manufacturing Engineers, Production Managers, Quality Control, and Product Design and Development Teams to help streamline processes. They are responsible for developing creative and efficient ways to make better products and improve processes. Daily responsibility is focused on but not limited to safety, quality, manufacturing, model integration, and supporting strategic goals.

BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field or Higher.
Experience in a manufacturing/operations environment.
Strong lean manufacturing experience especially in continuous improvement, elimination of waste, 5S, Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and visual management

Responsibilities

Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements, develop creative solutions, and implement them with the production teams
Coordinate problem-solving activities on the plant floor with multi-department resources.
Establish operational methods and work standards using various work measurement techniques.
Optimize the use of floor space, materials, personnel, and equipment.
Support manufacturing production teams to improve efficiency and resolve issues.
Analyze existing operations and propose cost-justified improvements.
Optimize employee production and material efficiency through continuous improvement.
Maintain high-quality standards through on-the-floor interaction with employees to ensure quality and accuracy in each step of the production process.
Lead the advancement and implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives in production.
Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process.
Create processes and procedures to help Nautique meet strategic goals.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to ensure collaboration.
Establish an effective and efficient process flow.
Develop and implement new solutions to existing manufacturing problems.
Generate production carts, jigs, fixtures engineering models, drawings, and Bills of Material
Play a key role in the implementation of new processes, equipment, and products.
Evaluate and design ergonomic workstations and material handling systems.
