Requirements

  • Bachelor's Engineering Degree required
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Qualified candidate must possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with lean principles and techniques to include Visual Management, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Cycle Time Reduction and Process Balancing, Yokoten, 5S, Set Up Reduction (SMED), and Kanban.
  • Strong analytic skills, with ability to clearly link operational performance drivers to financial results.
  • PLC Programming and Automation knowledge is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in 2D/3D Modeling software (AutoCAD, Pro-E) is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and define concepts and manufacturing processes for, and as an integral part of, all new product introductions and product enhancement programs, using advanced engineering techniques such as DFM / DFA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly), FMEA, 3P (Production, Preparation Process), 7-Ways, and Lean Six Sigma Methodology
  • Assume responsibility for Capital planning, CER creations and Approvals, Capital Project Timing and Implementation, Capital Spending and Budgeting/ Assumes responsibility for Plant VA/VE Savings
  • Ensure all equipment meets OSHA compliant safety regulations
  • Drive engineering principles and discipline through mentoring, training and project reviews including: PFMEA, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Dynamic Control Plans (DCP), Lean Tools, Project Management and Simultaneous Engineering
  • Manage, develop and improve manufacturing standards including machine capability and capacity, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings and cycle times.
