Veridiam is hiring an emerging engineering talent for a six-month, entry-level, project-based temporary assignment. The role provides hands-on experience tackling manufacturing challenges alongside experienced engineers and manufacturing professionals. The assignment may involve mechanical design, manufacturing automation, production systems, or quality improvement, with work matched to the individual's demonstrated abilities and interests and to business needs. Engineers take ownership of defined assignments and may move on to successive projects as objectives are achieved, with the possibility of broader technical experience and increasing responsibility. The assignment may transition to regular employment based on business needs, available opportunities, and demonstrated performance; regular employment is not guaranteed. Veridiam specializes in precision fabrication of components and assemblies made from exotic metals for critical aerospace, defense, medical, nuclear, and space applications. The role applies engineering fundamentals and practical problem-solving to improve manufacturing processes, equipment, quality, and operational performance. Project tracks include mechanical engineering and manufacturing automation; manufacturing systems and work-in-process control; and quality engineering and nonconformance resolution. The position requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or a related technical discipline, completed or expected by the assignment start date. Little or no professional experience is accepted. Hands-on technical experience and examples of independently developed tools, designs, or process improvements are preferred. Access to the facility and employment is restricted under ITAR and/or EAR to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents of the United States, and properly licensed foreign persons.
