About The Position

Support the business by designing, implementing new processes and equipment; examine the rates to maximize production. The Industrial Engineer will interface with the customer, employees and management relating to design improvements and implement the new processes requirements for production. New product development of product packaging, design, develop, source per customer specifications. Using lean principles, Kazan events and 5s to ensure productivity is maintained.

Requirements

  • B.S degree in one of the following areas: Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, Manufacturing technology, Automotive engineer technology or 0-3 years equivalent experience.
  • CAD/CAM experience desired, SolidWorks preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide manufacturing process design and process change investigation, evaluation, and implementation.
  • Support quoting activities by providing piece part cost estimations for new product and actual cost calculations for existing product.
  • Support tooling design, gages, machinery, fixtures, etc., and report their cost and source their completion.
  • Trouble shoot process through involvement in quality alerts and provide corrective actions.
  • Maintain engineering documents such as specs, prints, process instructions, routings, etc. to aid in the manufacturing process.
  • Support new product launches and engineering changes.
  • Direct Cell Technicians and support daily production.
