About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Improvement of key performance measures for assigned processes, to include operating efficiency (OEE/CEE), rates, yields and equipment runtime and downtime. Actively utilize Lean Manufacturing and Tier Process to identify/resolve top issues. Responsible for continuous improvement of assigned products/processes through development and implementation of programs to increase product and process understanding and reduce process variability. Efficiently troubleshoot product and process performance issues, performing root cause analysis and applying systemic problem-solving skills and robust solutions. Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties. Safety is a core value at 3M. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Analysis Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Control Plans
  • Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams from multiple locations and divisions
