The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and validating manufacturing processes, methods, tooling, equipment, and controls to support product production. This role involves analyzing labor utilization, equipment requirements, workflow, and layout to maximize efficiency. The engineer will support prototype development, builds, and production launches, while actively applying and evaluating new manufacturing technologies to achieve plant objectives, reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance operational efficiency. Responsibilities also include participating in product design reviews to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness, preparing manufacturing studies, recommending process improvements, and selecting/approving tooling and equipment. The role requires coordinating process implementation, providing training, establishing error-proofing systems, and serving as a technical resource for process changes and continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the engineer will support new program launches, research and implement advanced manufacturing technologies, work with production teams to meet performance measures, maintain communication with stakeholders, act as a customer liaison, and complete all required training. The position also includes ensuring compliance with ISO and IATF 16949 standards, developing PFMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans, and Operator Instruction Sheets, and collaborating with safety teams to ensure safe workstation and line design, while adhering to all EHS standards and reporting any incidents.
