The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, robots, conveyor systems, production machines and other equipment. This role involves troubleshooting electrical systems including, but not limited to three-phase motors, start/stop circuits, AC/DC drives, running electrical conduit, and reading electrical prints. The technician will also perform equipment installation, preventative maintenance (PMs), and complete assigned projects. The Maintenance Technician will be maintaining & supporting all equipment in a Just-In-Time (JIT) Production Environment and other areas as required. They will complete all tasks, work orders, & PM's as directed by their supervisor in a safe & timely manner, and make approved modifications to machinery and equipment to meet production needs. Repairs, rebuilds, and troubleshooting of equipment will be performed to ensure production efficiencies are met. Daily records of all line calls, work orders, PM's & work history must be kept electronically in the eMaintenance System. The role requires completion of all required and applicable training by Adient, and willingness to work overtime as needed (daily, weekly, shutdowns etc.) and any shift on short, but reasonable notice. Continuous improvement and development of skills/knowledge is expected. Other tasks as requested by the Engineering Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor must be completed. The technician will have the authority and responsibility to stop the production line should a safety or quality issue appear. Maintaining a license to operate a Hilo, Scissor Lift and Articulating Lift is required, along with excellent attendance and a steady work history.
