About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer Sr (Level 3) will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering team, responsible for improving the producibility of early designs and creating manufacturing plans and processes that support the evolving demands of the Warfighter. The role involves developing and executing manufacturing processes that enable efficient, high-quality production while partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders. Responsibilities include developing and implementing robust manufacturing processes and procedures, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues, driving continuous improvements to manufacturing workflows, ensuring compliance with all quality and safety standards, and providing technical support and manufacturing feedback on new product designs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; an Interim Secret clearance is required prior to start
  • A broad base of professional knowledge regarding manufacturing machining, electrical and/or assembly work
  • Professional experience with product manufacturability (DFM), producibility, and design for cost (DFC)
  • Demonstrated skills in team building and leading through influence in a professional setting
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, including to non-technical personnel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the design and manufacturing of complex electromechanical systems
  • Experience with mechanical assembly, manufacturing tooling design, factory design, and factory flow
  • Related professional level career experience in production operations
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
  • Experience in program development with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and leadership
  • Understanding and wide application of assembly and test methods
  • Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) knowledge/experience
