About The Position

As a Manufacturing Engineer Senior, you will bring expertise and independence to solve complex manufacturing challenges. This dynamic role bridges shop floor operations and engineering solutions, ensuring seamless production of one of the most advanced fighter jets in the world.

Requirements

  • Prior experience on F-35 or other military aircraft required
  • Experience developing manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and principles as well as work measurements and labor standards
  • A proactive problem-solver with a passion for manufacturing excellence.
  • Experienced in both hands-on shop floor operations and engineering collaboration.
  • Skilled at troubleshooting and driving corrective actions to resolution.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • A strong communicator who thrives in a team-based environment.
  • This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an Engineering, Manufacturing or other Technical field
  • Demonstrated proficiency in our 3D modeling systems, such as VAS or CATIA.
  • Previous experience in aircraft structural repairs.
  • Familiarization with F-35 build sequence and co-producers.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills required in a team environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS office, Excel, PowerPoint, SFM, Product Data Manager (PDM) and other LM Aero systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate directly with the shop floor to resolve real-time build cycle issues.
  • Address non-conformance issues, design and troubleshoot tooling, and execute root cause/corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with engineering and other support groups to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Maintain build documentation, including Manufacturing Plans, Tooling Requirements Forms, and Corrective Action Plans.
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities, designing and developing creative solutions to optimize processes.
  • Partner with teams such as MRB, Production Control, Quality Engineering, and other manufacturing engineering groups.
  • Support overtime activities as needed to meet production goals.
