Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Prior transformer manufacturing or transformer product experience required
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required
  • Experience with equipment installation, validation, and troubleshooting
  • Strong lean manufacturing knowledge and hands‑on application
  • Ability to travel to sending facilities for knowledge transfer
  • Experience developing manufacturing documentation and training content

  • Epicor experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the transfer of transformer‑related product lines into the Houston facility
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of equipment required for transformer manufacturing
  • Lead or support product validation, testing, and launch readiness activities
  • Ensure documentation, work instructions, and process controls are complete and accurate
  • Troubleshoot transformer‑specific assembly, testing, and production issues
  • Train production teams on new processes, equipment, and product requirements
  • Participate in knowledge‑transfer visits to current production sites and support launch activities
  • Apply lean manufacturing tools to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput
  • Provide post‑launch support to stabilize production and resolve early‑stage issues
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners
  • Contribute to projects that impact communities in Katy, Sugar Land, Pearland, Pasadena, Baytown, Cypress, Spring, The Woodlands, Humble, Missouri City, League City, Deer Park, La Porte, Friendswood, and Channelview, and the greater Houston metro
