Power Systems Engineer

OracleUnited States,
$161,700 - $338,500

About The Position

As a Power Systems Architect (Owner’s Engineer Lead), you will own the end-to-end architectural vision, systems strategy, and technical standards for electrical power delivery from grid through onsite generation to data center. Operating at a principal architect/VP-equivalent individual contributor level, you will serve as the final technical authority for high-voltage transmission, substations, interconnection, and site power integration across our global infrastructure portfolio. This role sets the technical and compliance direction, oversees execution, and ensures our design philosophy delivers unmatched performance, resiliency, and cost efficiency—without direct people management responsibility.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in power systems engineering, transmission and distribution, or utility-scale generation.
  • Track record of successful design and delivery of projects at ≥230 kV.
  • Expertise with HV/MV substations (AIS/GIS: 13.8kV–345kV+), system-level protection, and utility interconnect.
  • Extensive experience with power system simulation and analysis tools (e.g., PSCAD, ETAP, PSS/E, DigSILENT, ASPEN).
  • Deep understanding of utility codes, standards, and best practices in interconnection and compliance.
  • Experience integrating generation, substation, BESS, and microgrid for mission critical (data centers, campuses, industrial) power delivery.
  • Exceptional ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.

Nice To Haves
