The Manufacturing Engineer - Plating will support the installation and day-to-day operations of new horizontal chemical lines, monitor line performance and take corrective actions as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ relevant professional engineering experience.
  • Good hands on engineering skills and ability to work on production equipment.
  • Demonstrated capability in applying SPC, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, etc.
  • Solid skills in problem solving, statistics, manufacturing quality, and quality principles.
  • Ability to understand, analyze, and resolve moderately complex technical problems.
  • Ability to work independently and be effective in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills.
  • Experience with SMT assembly processes and equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SolidWorks is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the installation new horizontal chemical lines onsite at the Andover facility. This includes: Setup and dose initial chemistry, Establish dosing protocols, Establish process recipes, Qualify each new chemical line, Establish cleaning and maintenance protocols
  • Oversee day/day operation of the horizontal chemical lines, including: Operator training, Supporting triage and working with the Vendor and onsite maintenance teams relative to any equipment down time, Working with the lab on trend analysis to improve process consistency
  • Monitor line performance and take corrective action to eliminate process problems and improve yields.
  • Hands on responsibility for equipment including programming, troubleshooting, and researching to explore newer technologies and capabilities.
  • Support New Product Introduction through process development and review of product designs for compatibility with process capability.
  • Implement and manage real time SPC and utilize Six Sigma tools such as PFMEAs to implement meaningful process controls.
  • Monitor line yield, scrap and equipment utilization on a daily basis.
  • Work with Design, Test, and Quality Engineering to implement yield and quality enhancements.
  • Work with hourly production and maintenance personnel to improve line performance.
  • Identify and lead cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Initiate and approve manufacturing documentation and ECO’s.
  • Investigate problems, determine root cause, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Work with suppliers, equipment, tooling and raw materials.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $90,000 - $115,000
