This Manufacturing Engineer role in Noblesville involves operating innovative engineered systems and developing, coordinating, and implementing sustainable manufacturing production processes. The position is on-site for 5 days a week and is part of a cross-functional team focused on delivering quality, safety, and operational efficiency improvements.

  • Degree preferred in Engineering or related technical disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems, including investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.
  • Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools to improve manufacturing operations.
  • Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality.
  • Uphold manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times.
  • Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets product and manufacturing specifications given local needs.
  • Serve as a voice of the customer for input for new design development.
  • Partner with on-site EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes across fabrication and assembly operations.
  • Design and optimize production line layouts, material flow, and facility utilization to improve throughput and efficiency
  • Lead lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (TPM, VSM, Kaizen) to reduce waste and improve performance
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) including process development, validation, and transition to full-scale production
  • Own capital equipment lifecycle: specification, procurement, installation, and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
