The Manufacturing Engineer Manager will be part of the STANLEY® Engineered Fastening (“SEF”) team, working as an onsite employee. This role is responsible for the development and deployment of manufacturing processes to ensure the highest level of safety. The position involves using predictive tools like Risk Assessments and PFMEA to create standardized, stable, and predictable manufacturing processes that achieve top safety and quality performance. The manager will coach and mentor the engineering team to drive continuous improvement across all plant value streams and execute productivity projects that positively impact financial performance. This role also provides day-to-day manufacturing process support to production teams, resolving issues related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost in collaboration with supervisors, managers, and other support groups. The position requires the ability to work off shifts and foster a learning culture focused on problem-solving and envisioning future states. Responsibilities include planning, developing, and implementing capital equipment/tooling improvement plans, including new product launch activities, and facilitating kaizen events for waste elimination. The role drives new product development for the site, managing APQP deliverables, tooling and equipment concepts, quotations, and process qualification. Additionally, the Manufacturing Engineer Manager will improve manufacturing processes and methods for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency using lean manufacturing principles.
