About The Position

International Motors is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer Lead Senior. to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, assembly operations, tooling, equipment, and production systems. This role partners with Product Engineering and cross-functional teams to deliver safe, efficient, cost-effective, and scalable manufacturing solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, project leadership, and analytical skills to drive manufacturing feasibility, production-line optimization, new product launches, and operational excellence. This position also provides technical guidance to engineering teams and leads complex initiatives from initial concept through installation, validation, launch, and production ramp-up.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of product manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional manufacturing projects from initial business case and process design through equipment installation, validation, launch, and ramp-up.
  • Develop and optimize assembly processes, standard work, production-line layouts, labor plans, time standards, capacity models, and material-flow strategies.
  • Conduct manufacturing feasibility, Make-versus-Buy, cost, throughput, productivity, and facility-utilization analyses to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Define tooling, equipment, and facility requirements, including technical specifications, statements of work, and supplier bid packages.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and production launches through process planning, line balancing, ergonomic assessments, build support, and readiness reviews.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, IT, and external suppliers to resolve complex production challenges.
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, optimize resources, and enhance overall operational performance.
  • Maintain manufacturing documentation, records, and reporting systems to support production performance and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor less-experienced engineers, and serve as a subject-matter expert in manufacturing and industrial engineering practices.
