About The Position

Process Engineering position responsible for the non-conventional machining (lasers and EDMs) of Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) parts. This engineer will lead improvement projects and shop floor support for a product line in their assigned area.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing operations experience)
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to document, plan, and execute projects.
Experience and knowledge of lean principles
Demonstrated structured problem solving

Responsibilities

Support plant safety policies
Improve all aspects of Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost
Lead improvement projects from concept to completion & assure sustainment
APQP for responsible processes
Drive & lead/cycle time improvements
Lead & support low rate and full rate production
Implement necessary equipment, tooling & fixtures for manufacturing development and process improvements
Create, maintain & adhere to schedules to achieve business metrics/targets
Listen to the voice on the floor, understand the problem and implement effective countermeasures
Manage projects related to product industrialization
Hands on problem solving & investigation
Continuous improvement mind set
Perform root cause and corrective action of product & process failures and defects
