About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring that the engineered process and equipment are aligned with production requirements, aiming to minimize machine downtime and achieve an Overall Availability (OA) of 95%.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from a four-year college or university; or five years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work with Microsoft Office at an intermediate level.
Ability to work with Microsoft Project at a beginning level.
Effective email and electronic communication skills are required.
Ability to work with QMS database at an intermediate level.
Ability to work with QAD database at an intermediate level.
Ability to work with Micrometers.
Ability to work with Calipers.
Ability to work with Scales.

Responsibilities

Oversees projects on new equipment in the Laser Department.
Defines project scope, timing, and performance costs.
Provides direction and approves revisions to project scope and/or timing.
Evaluates project status.
Interfaces and introduces projects to other management staff.
Responsible for Buyoff at the tool shop of laser fixtures and programs.
Completes SPC (Statistical Process Control) charts as needed.
Provides direction to production technical support to improve production processes to reduce scrap or costs.
Trains technicians and maintenance personnel on proper troubleshooting processes.
Eliminates quality spills from lasers.
Reviews improvement project status.
Stays up-to-date on new technology available in the market and educates personnel on its use.
Creates and proposes new ideas for making the plant more competitive in the market.
Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment.
Able and willing to work any shift assigned, weekends and overtime.
Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor.
Responsible for reading and understanding the TS16949 and ISO-14001 procedures.
