About The Position

As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will collaborate daily with Manufacturing Engineers, Process Technicians, Assembly Leadership, and Assembly Operators to ensure production goals are met. This role is designed to support production teams in daily production, to develop processes, troubleshoot equipment, optimize operations, and special projects.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo Parametric)
  • Strong analytical, problems solving, and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial, or manufacturing environment
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineer, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Set up & support MES systems for the manufacturing of snowmobiles, engines, and drivetrain components.
  • Collaborate with Tool & Die Department to maintain current tooling as well as design and build new tooling to assist in the manufacturing process.
  • Work with technicians to improve automated equipment to increase efficiency and utilization
  • Collaborate with Tool & Die Department, Manufacturing Engineers, and Technicians in the deployment of automated equipment
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment when required to minimize production downtime
  • Maintain PLC recipes to ensure the quality and manufacturing standards are met
  • Assist in equipment relocation, set up, and validation
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with 5S and safety standards
  • Assist others and fill in for absenteeism in assembly positions
