About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Intern - 1st Shift to join our team located in Rice Lake, WI. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 7am-3:30pm. We Offer You! Operate and maintain CAD equipment and data in an efficient productive manner. Correlate, consult, collects data, tests, writes test reports, develops the project plan, and advises supervisor of recommended courses of action as required. Manage and present design proposals for discussion and evaluation with management, customer, vendors, trade organizations and code groups. Manage the collection of data, assemble results, reports and recommendations accumulated during execution of the project plan and arrange into accurate and concise documentation for the engineering project files. Prepares, executes and releases Engineering Change Orders (E.C.O.'s) Capable of process design and development with an understanding of manufacturing processes with focus on manufacturing techniques and equipment. Requirements

  • Pursuing Bachelor of Science Degree in a directly related engineering field.
  • Experience with metal fabrication and equipment.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to deal with multiple priorities.
  • Ability to influence and induce cooperation in all environments.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate efficiently within a CAD environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of SolidWorks a plus.
