About The Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening for an Engineering Intern to apply classroom-learned skills to a program supporting national defense. The role offers the opportunity to work on technical projects related to GDMS’s core mission, collaborating with teams and customers on solutions that support national security missions. The intern will work alongside technically accomplished colleagues and receive a competitive wage in a flexible work environment where contributions are recognized and rewarded. Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in a relevant scientific or technical discipline. A sophomore standing or higher is preferred. U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work. A Department of Defense Secret clearance is preferred at hire; the selected candidate must be able to obtain one within a reasonable time after hire and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Requirements

Enrollment in an accredited degree program in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another related scientific or technical discipline.
U.S. citizenship is required.
Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance within a reasonable amount of time after hire and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Nice To Haves

Sophomore standing or higher in an accredited degree program is preferred.
A Department of Defense Secret security clearance at the time of hire is preferred.
