At HME you will have the opportunity to learn and grow while developing our future products. Come join our team! We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer III. The Manufacturing Engineer III, under minimal supervision, provides technical support to the manufacturing floor to ensure optimum production of products and performs production support activities. Develops production tools to improve the manufacturing floor efficiencies. May train production technicians or other Manufacturing Engineers and technicians. Provides costing, status, and other reports as necessary to supervisor.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office, Windows and Internet.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Advanced drafting knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing processes.
  • Advanced mechanical skills.
  • Ability to think and work independently.
  • Experience with SMT equipment.
  • Experience in Contract Manufacturing.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
  • 5+ years experience
  • BA or BS (college graduate) - Preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of schematic capture software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors prototype/pilot production activities.
  • Evaluates new product designs (documentation and equipment needs).
  • Specifies manufacturing processes.
  • Advocates lean approaches and conduct training.
  • Conducts time and cost estimates.
  • Designs fixtures and production tooling.
  • Documents fixtures and tooling as required.
  • Recommends fixture and tooling which can help production.
  • Represents the department in new product design team meetings.
  • Suggests design ideas to ensure new products are manufacturable, reliable, and cost effective.
  • Processes EARs and ECOs.
  • Reviews documentation.
  • Represents the department for Material Review Board Supplier (MRBS) determinations.
  • Resolves sustaining engineering issues as needed.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by the supervisor, which includes projects within the scope of a Manufacturing Engineer III.
